About this event

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
“What’s So Different About Girls?”

This course is for females living with an ASC, their supporters/carers, and any professionals working alongside teenage girls and women living with an autism spectrum condition. Attendees should have previously attended a Basic Autism Awareness training session.

The course aims to enable females to live to their full potential through:
• Raising awareness of females living with an ASC
• Considering the similarities and differences in presentation between males and females with ASC
• Describing the concerns and issues for females with ASC
• Considering together, the best approaches to support and understanding.

This training will help organisations to comply with the Autism Act 2010 requirement for front line staff to be equipped with appropriate autism awareness training.

The cost for this course is £45 per person, in advance. (Only people diagnosed by Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership and their families/unwaged supporters would be free of charge).

Tea and coffee will be provided mid session.

Please note that a charge may be made for less than a weeks’ notice of non-attendance.
